Julius Patto

Julius Patto joins Civilla as a Design Fellow, bringing a passion for creativity, accessibility, and the power of design to open doors for others. A graduate of Michigan State University, Julius earned dual degrees in Experience Architecture and Professional and Public Writing, where he discovered his love for blending storytelling, technology, and design to improve how people experience the world around them.

He’s explored the design field from many angles—from supporting web design and marketing at the digital accessibility nonprofit Teach Access, to diving into product design and product management at Rocket Mortgage. While at MSU, Julius founded the university’s first Design-athon, a 24-hour creative sprint that brought students and professionals together to collaborate, build portfolio projects, and celebrate innovation.

As the first in his family to attend college, Julius understands the power of ambition and creativity and channels those values into his work every day. Outside of the studio, you’ll often find him expanding his Pokémon card collection or writing stories and poetry that let his imagination roam free.
