Kristen Uroda
Design Lead
she/her
After ten years as a graphic designer and illustrator, Kristen joined Civilla to follow her passion: using art and design to make a difference.
As a design lead, Kristen carries deep expertise in health and human service delivery. She currently leads the team’s work to streamline benefits delivery in Washington state. Prior to that, she was a key contributor to the team’s health and human services work in Missouri, conducting research and design for the state's benefits application, renewals, and correspondence processes. Now, she’s working to scale the impact nationally. Kristen’s also one of our resident graphic designers, responsible for the visual design of many of Civilla’s biggest projects.
Kristen earned a master of divinity from Western Theological Seminary where she focused on institutional systems, global theology, and aesthetics and a BFA in illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Known around the office as “Super Sleuth” – the team jokes that Kristen knows a little something about everything. Truth be told though, she’s still pretty bad at trivia.
