Sonya works alongside Civilla’s leadership to manage team schedules and keep the organization running smoothly.

Sonya’s a master organizer. Her attention to detail keeps the team on track and empowers everyone around her to do their best work. When things get chaotic, Sonya's patient approach helps restore a sense of calm to keep projects moving forward.

Sonya has over 20 years of experience in tourism and hospitality – including work at the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau. She holds a Master’s in project management from University of Phoenix and a BA from Wayne State University.

A lifelong learner, Sonya loves picking up new skills. When she “grows up” she’d like to try her hand at electrical engineering.
